In this context, Oxalobacter Formigenes, a microorganism essential for oxalate metabolism, is often deficient, increasing the risk of developing calcium oxalate urolithiasis. Oxalic acid also contributes to a pro-inflammatory effect in the intestine.

Yoxa, in sachet granule form, is a synbiotic supplement based on live lactic acid bacteria, formulated to compensate for the lack of Oxalobacter Formigenes. It contains five bacterial strains selected for their ability to metabolize oxalates and for their intrinsic anti-inflammatory action.
