Withania somnifera Dunal

Withania (Withania somnifera Dunal.) is a plant used in Ayurvedic medicine, which has celebrated its many beneficial effects for centuries. It is also known as Indian ginseng for its tonic and strengthening properties.

Withania root, thanks to the presence of withanolides (i.e. steroidal lactones), has a tonic adaptogenic effect and is used to combat physical and mental fatigue and to support the body's natural defences. The term somnifera derives from the Latinsomnifer, meaning “sleep-inducing”, and in fact Withania root is useful for promotingrelaxation and mental well-being.

  Withania (Withania somnifera Dunal) standardized root extract (1.5% withanolides) and powdered root. Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. Bulking agent: Microcrystalline cellulose. Anti-caking agent: Vegetable magnesium stearate. Antioxidant: PhytO powder base2XTM (beta-carotene and vitamin C [L-ascorbic acid].

• Directions for use

  Swallow from 1 to 2 vegetable capsules daily with water, preferably with meals. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Packaged in bottles of 60 vegetable capsules.

  Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
