Chelated iron

Iron is an essential trace element with important metabolic functions, including oxygen transport, and is involved in many oxidation-reduction reactions. Insufficient iron intake results in anemia, difficulties in psychomotor development and cognitive performance, and reduced immune function. Iron is an important element essential for human health; it contributes to normal formation of red blood cells and hemoglobin, involved in oxygen transport to the various body tissues. Iron supports the efficiency of energy metabolism and contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Involved in the production of T and B lymphocytes as well as cytokines, iron helps maintain the proper functioning of the immune system.

In OLIGO ALFER PLUS, iron is in bisglycinate form*: that is, bound to 2 molecules of glycine to increase its absorption in the intestine and thus provide excellent bioavailability and virtually no incidence of the typical digestive problems associated with iron intake.
