PSYLLIUM IN VEGETABLE CAPSULES
According to the Guidelines for Healthy and Proper Eating (INRAN), the recommended daily fiber intake is around 30 grams, an amount higher than that usually consumed in Italy. To ensure an adequate fiber intake, it is important to increase the amount of cereals, legumes, vegetables and fruit, and the allowance can be supplemented with a food supplement. Dietary fiber itself has no nutritional or energy value, but is nevertheless very important for regulating various physiological functions in the body. Insoluble fiber (cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin) acts primarily on the functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, while soluble fiber (pectins, gums and mucilages) regulates the absorption of certain nutrients (such as sugars and fats) by reducing and slowing it, thereby helping to control blood glucose and cholesterol levels.

NEOPSILLIO is a food supplement containing psyllium seed husk (Plantago psyllium L.). Psyllium, whose seeds are rich in fiber, has been used for millennia to promote regular intestinal transit, contributing to normal stool volume and consistency; it has an emollient and soothing action on the digestive system. It helps modulate nutrient absorption and promotes the proper metabolism of lipids and carbohydrates. Psyllium fiber also has a prebiotic effect.
