TICKS Defense by Colpharma is a safe and eco-friendly ULTRASONIC device for people that offers effective protection against
ticks and fleas. Colpharma has applied its intermittent ultrasound technology to an innovative device that protects people wearing it from ticks and other parasites such as fleas. The high-frequency sounds (above 20 KHz) emitted by the device are inaudible to the human ear, but are perceived as bothersome by ticks, which move away. Intermittent ultrasound emissions ensure better repellent efficacy and prevent habituation. Intended for external use, it offers protection for people up to 2.5 m away and, thanks to its practical clip, can be attached directly to clothing.

Ultrasonic and sonic emissions at variable frequencies, with a suitable waveform and adequate intensity, can provide genuine protection against mosquitoes, parasites, insects and rodents.

INTERMITTENT ULTRASOUND EMISSIONS

ULTRASOUND FOR PROTECTING ENVIRONMENTS
Ultrasound radiates outwards in a cone-shaped pattern (like the light from a beacon).

It cannot pass through solid objects (walls, furniture), from which it is reflected; it cannot go around corners and is absorbed by soft objects (carpets, curtains, etc.).

In an enclosed space, ultrasound is reflected off surfaces, saturating the environment and creating a protective shield.

Sonic emissions are low-frequency sounds, usually slightly audible to the human ear but very bothersome to some insects, including mosquitoes.

Anti-mosquito sonic emissions reproduce the sound of the male mosquito’s wings, driving away female mosquitoes—the ones that “bite”—as they search for the blood needed for reproduction and egg development.

To ensure better repellent efficacy and prevent mosquitoes from becoming habituated, a new technology using Variable Sonic Emissions with modulated frequencies and intensity has been developed.

PROPAGATION OF SONIC WAVES
Sonic waves radiate into the area from a source point and propagate in a circular pattern.

Sonic waves weaken with distance.

As they are slightly audible, the intensity can be adjusted to 3 levels to suit your preference.
