Description

ITM Pro percussion and infrared massager
Massage is one of the oldest methods of treatment and represents an important part of physiotherapy. Mechanical treatment of the external tissues of the body relaxes tense muscles, improves blood circulation and aids tissue regeneration. Massage stimulates, relaxes and helps eliminate nerve and muscle pain. Massage can also have positive effects on the vascular system, internal organs and metabolism. There are five classic massage methods: tapping, kneading, tapping and vibration massage, as well as rubbing and slapping.

Furthermore, there are other important massage techniques such as manual lymphatic drainage, reflexology, underwater pressure massage (Scottish shower), brush massage and massage techniques using the fingers (shiatsu, acupressure).

This special massager is based on the principle of tapping massage. Both massage heads, applied to the part of the body to be massaged, move alternately with a frequency of 2000-3000 1/min., thus producing a sequence of taps.

If desired, you can add infrared light to both heads. This represents a very pleasant heat treatment, which increases the positive effects of the massage. The ITM radiates infrared light through the skin to the underlying tissues.

Both heads get warm, but don't overheat. The infrared light from ITM generates a particularly pleasant sensation. This unique combination of intense massage and infrared thermal treatment makes the ITM a particularly effective mechanotherapy device.

The pleasant action of massages can provide rapid relief from various pains. Even more so when the massage movement is linked to heat. Not only are the muscles relaxed, but the blood circulation is also stimulated. Thanks to infrared heat, the healing action reaches even the deepest muscle tissue. This practical device combines infrared heat with percussion massage. Thanks to its special design, it can be used easily, even in hard-to-reach places such as the back.

Diabetics should use the device only after consulting their doctor.

• It is possible to perform a massage on yourself or on another person. Turn on the unit as described above and apply it to the body part to be massaged. Do not apply pressure, but pass it lightly over the body. The masseur will do the work for you. Don't focus on one side of the body for too long, but change the massage area frequently.
• Each session should last no more than 20 minutes. For positive results, use the massager regularly.
• The application should be pleasant. If you feel pain or the massage is painful on some parts of the body, stop the session and consult your doctor.
• After treatment, turn off the massager, unplug it and let it cool.
